1 Description It occurs as a colorless to light pink, interlaced or separate, needle-shaped crystals, or white to light pink, crystalline mass.
2 Identification

(A) A white precipitate is formed, and it dissolves at first but becomes permanent as more of the reagent is added.
(B) A violet color is produced.
3 Solubility Very soluble in alcohol, in glycerin, in chloroform, in ether, and in fixed and volatile oils; soluble in water; sparingly soluble in mineral oil.
4 Limit of nonvolatile residue Not more than 0.05%.
5 Clarity of solution and reaction The Sample solution is clear, and it is neutral or acid to litmus paper.
6 Congealing temperature Not more than 39℃.
7 Water determination Not more than 0.5%.
8 Assay Not less than 99.0% and not more than 100.5%, on anhydrous basis.

MOLHOL® PHE is packed in HDPE bag or drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in tight, light-resistant containers.
